Why this exists
Most families call an estate sale company first, because that is the name they know. Sometimes that is right. Often it is not. A sale takes three to four weeks and needs enough resale value to clear the company's minimum, and if the plan is to sell the house as-is anyway, clearing it out first can be money spent for no reason.
The order of these decisions is what costs people money. A walkthrough puts the order right before you hire anyone.
